Our Studio and Facilities

Do you have an event or workshop that you want to host to your own clients? We have options for you to make it easier, cost effective and in a secure central location with great facilities. 

The Agreement to lease

This Casual Studio rental agreement outlines the terms and conditions for hiring the studio at Macks Massage. By proceeding with the booking, the renter agrees to all conditions listed below.

1. Studio Use & Condition

Return to Original Condition — The Studio must be returned to the same condition it was found in. Renters are required to take a photo before setup to ensure accurate restoration.

Packing Up — All equipment, props, furniture, and personal items must be packed away neatly and returned to their original locations.

Cleaning Requirements — Yoga mats must be wiped down using the cleaning      trolley equipment provided. Any spills, marks, or debris must be cleaned before vacating.

Damage — Any damage to the Studio, equipment, or premises must be reported      immediately. Repair or replacement costs may be charged to the Renter.

2. Insurance & Compliance

Public Liability Insurance — Renters must hold valid public liability and indemnity insurance for the event or activity being conducted. This is for the content taught or shared by the renter and excludes Macks Massage from any treatment or teachings presented by the renter.

Proof of Insurance — A certificate of currency must be provided prior to the event.

Induction Requirement — A renter who will be present at the event must complete a premises tour before the event. This includes emergency exits, equipment uses, cleaning procedures, and safety protocols. The induction must be booked in advance. Walking in may not be at a time that staff are available.

3. Fees & Charges

A Host from Macks Massage must be present during all events as our retail area is at the entrance to the studio and for our Health and Safety Policy. The cost of the host is incorporated in the rental fees of the studio.

Inclusions

All rentals in the airconditioned studio include:

- All equipment in the studio (Yoga mats, bolsters, cushions and equipment)

- Foldable chairs

- Filtered water, Tea and Coffee

- A host from Macks Massage present

Standard Hire Fee 

The times below are from the renter’s arrival to set up, to vacation of event by hosts and their participants/clients. (The rental time is not for the event time itself) all fees are GST inclusive

1. 2hrs (Does not overlap 1pm) - $60

2. 2hrs to 5hrs (Does not overlap 1pm) - $90

3. More than 5hrs to Full Day - $150

Reception – If you require our host to check your attendees in and or to take payments for you, please provide the card payment system and or float. $20 fee for your event.

Late Evening Fee — Events running past 8:00 PM incur an additional $25 fee per hour.

Overtime Fee — If the renter or their attendees remain on the premises after the agreed vacate time, an additional fee of $35 per 30 minutes overtime will be charged.

Excess Cleaning Fee — If the Studio is not returned to acceptable condition, a cleaning fee may be applied.

Damage Fee — Costs associated with repairs or replacements will be invoiced to the Renter.

A tax invoice will be emailed to the renter upon receiving the full payment. 

4. Renter Responsibilities

Supervision — The Renter is responsible for supervising all participants and always      ensuring safe conduct.

Respect for Premises — All areas of Macks Massage must be treated with care.      Restricted areas must not be accessed.

Security — Doors must remain locked after usual trading hours and a host from Macks      Massage will be present at reception.

Scented Products — The renter is responsible for allergies of their attendees 

Illegal Substances — The renter must not allow illegal substances onto the premises at events even if the substance is considered for healing purposes.

Alcohol — BYO alcohol may be approved however the sale of alcohol or the included      cost of alcohol as part of an event is strictly prohibited. Approval is required from Macks Massage. 

5. Booking & Cancellation

Booking Confirmation — Bookings are held as per verbal agreement. If payment is not received by the agreed date, the booking will be cancelled. 

Cancellation Policy — Cancellations as follows.

2 weeks – Full Refund

1 Week – 50% Refund

48hrs – 25% Refund

Less than 48hrs notice – No Refund

Changes to Booking — Any changes must be requested in writing and approved by Macks Massage by email. 

6. Liability & Indemnity

The Renter agrees to indemnify Macks Massage against any claims, injuries, losses, or damages arising from their event or activities.

Macks Massage is not responsible for personal belongings left unattended.

7. Termination of Agreement

Macks Massage reserves the right to terminate the booking immediately if:

Unsafe behaviour occurs

Damage is caused intentionally or negligence 

The Renter breaches any terms of this agreement

8. Additional Conditions

Children — Children must be always supervised.

Food & Drink — Only water is permitted inside the Studio unless otherwise approved. The use of the communal refreshment centre is available during the entire event.

Use of Props — Studio props must be handled with care and returned to their designated storage.

Emergency Procedures — Renters must familiarise themselves with emergency exits      and evacuation plans.

The Power of our Marketing for You

1. We will advertise your event twice on our social media platforms with 1400 followers.

2. We will advertise a link to you on our website events section. (90% of our bookings are via our website with over 4,000 visits a month who see the events section at the top of the home page.

3. We will advertise you on our Billboard outside the front of our store

4. We have a 20-bay carpark exclusive to our building.

5. We have 12 practitioners, 3 instructors, 3 permanent practitioner renters, 4 saunas, busy holistic retail store and are open 7 days a week. A strong referral team.

As Macks Massage as your service partner for your event, you will have the added benefits as below.

1. We will book all clients through Macks Massage booking system as a joint event between you and Macks Massage.

2. We will take all payments.

3. We will promote the event often and advise our team of the event.

4. We pay the GST for each booking.

5. Macks Massage will retain a commission that will be negotiated with you prior to signing an agreement. Commissions are at a minimum of 40% to Macks Massage and 60% to you. You do not pay any rental fees. 

6. Payment to you will be by the following Wednesday after the event.

7. You will be responsible to pay your own income tax and superannuation.

We treat partnering with you as its one of our own. We are a team.

Our treatment/consultation rooms are not currently available as they are fully utilised 7 days a week.
